Role Description: Systems Integration and User Acceptance Testing of credit card application and customer management systems. Testing of application capture, decisioning and account management software using a number of linked systems including web-based front ends, a Chordiant mid-range customer relationship management (CRM) system and a COBOL Certegy mainframe system. Tools used include Mercury Test Director 8.0 for test planning, execution and defect management; Mercury Winrunner 8.2 for creation of new test accounts and/or updates to existing test accounts; and Quest TOAD 7.6 for executing SQL queries on test data held on an Oracle database.
Projects to date include UAT of a new credit card application system developed by Experian, which has reduced maintenance costs by an estimated £1m and reduced losses by £3m due to a better decisioning process. Additionally, SIT test execution and UAT test planning on a project to enable real-time updates of customer information from a central system to multiple interfacing systems; and most recently, SIT and UAT test planning and execution on a project to bring current insurance sales procedures in line with new FSA regulations.
